Yoseph Jo – Non-Registered Massage Therapist

Yoseph jo

My journey from pre-med student to massage therapy has been nothing short of transformational. I had always wanted to be a doctor after graduating from Simon Fraser University, where I studied biomedical physiology. I had a strong desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives and contribute to their well-being. However, when I researched numerous healthcare options, I discovered one that deeply resonated with my basic principles and provided a unique path to healing.

I realized that as an RMT, I could interact with my clients directly and give personalized care in a comprehensive and hands-on way. I was attracted by the power of touch and its potential to heal not just the physical body but also the mind and spirit. This realization inspired me to pursue massage therapy as a means of making a significant difference in people’s lives.

My experience as a student therapist at the Ronald McDonald House was both wonderful and transformative. I was able to provide much-needed help, comfort, and healing to families with very ill children by volunteering with this incredible organization. I constructed a calm sanctuary within the walls of the Ronald McDonald House where families might temporarily escape the weight of their situation. I provided relief from the daily problems they encountered by using a gentle touch, soothing music, and a tranquil environment. The power of massage treatment enabled me to relieve tension, alleviate discomfort, and promote relaxation, fostering physical and mental healing.
