Craniosacral Therapy – Downtown Vancouver
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) was pioneered and developed by the famed Osteopathic physician Dr. W.G. Sutherland. This progressive technique consists of a light hands-on approach to evaluate and improve the functioning of a very important physiological system of the body, the cranial system.
The therapy is continually being modernized by leading osteopaths, medical doctors, registered massage therapists, and other practitioners from around the world.
For Craniosacral Therapy, We Recommend:
The Cranial System
The cranial system is comprised of the thick fascial membrane (dura) that surrounds and separates the structures of the brain and penetrates the spinal column to cover and protect the spinal cord.
The membrane attaches itself to the inside of the various skull bones along with two vertebrae at the top of the neck and one vertebra at the base of the spine, essentially suspending the brain and spinal cord in a container of cerebrospinal fluid.
Fascial restrictions within the craniosacral system create imbalances through the 22 bones of the face and skull, ultimately compromising the central nervous system and affecting the proper balance of the body.
Interrupting the flow of the craniosacral fluid can lead to and augment conditions such as:
- Migraine headaches
- Chronic neck and back pain
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Orthopaedic problems
- Stress and tension-related problems
- Motor-Coordination impairments
- Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ)
- Neurovascular or immune disorders
- Learning disabilities
- Fibromyalgia and other connective-tissue disorders
Using a soft, light touch, our registered massage therapists can assess and treat dysfunctions and strain patterns to release restrictions in the cranial system and improve the functioning of the central nervous system, which directly influences the rest of the body. Furthermore, because of Craniosacral Therapy’s ability to enhance disease resistance and complement the body’s natural healing processes, it is increasingly used as a preventive health measure.

I Highly recommend Tanner and definitely coming again!Posted on elmira ghobadvandApril 6, 2026 I had a great massage experience—so relaxing and exactly what I needed.Ayaka was professional, attentive, and really focused on my tension areas. I left feeling refreshed and much lighter. Highly recommend!Posted on lindsay goughMarch 31, 2026 5 stars isn’t enough for Cole Majoros, he may have changed my life. I had so much tension in my neck and shoulders from past concussions and being a mom of 2 toddlers, I had no idea I could feel the relief that he provided. I walked out and had so much more mobility in my neck, I felt that he had reversed my age and the injuries that have come with it by a good 20 years. I will continue to book with Cole. His approach and vibe is unlike any other masseuse I have seen, his own live DJ sets play while his magic hands, the use of props along with your own resistance combine for the 5+ star experience.Posted on Ellen AngelFebruary 5, 2026 Eliza is a very professional, knowledgeable and skilled RMT. I am very happy to be in her care.Google rating score: 4.9 of 5, based on 487 reviews
