Direct Billing for Massage Therapy in Vancouver
Make your Registered Massage Therapy appointment simpler with direct billing at Everest Therapeutics in downtown Vancouver.
Our RMTs provide massage therapy for concerns such as muscle tension, back and neck discomfort, training-related tightness, repetitive strain, pregnancy-related discomfort, and stress-related tension. When direct billing is available through your extended health plan, we can submit an eligible claim to your insurer at the time of your appointment.
Everest Therapeutics is located at 970 Burrard St., MZ2, Electra Building, Downtown Vancouver. We are open 7 days a week from 8 am to 8 pm and offer a large team of Registered Massage Therapists, making it easier to find an appointment and an RMT who suits your needs.
Important: insurance coverage, annual limits, plan eligibility, and the amount paid are determined by your individual insurer and benefits plan. Direct billing is not a guarantee of coverage.

How Direct Billing for RMT Massage Works
Direct billing means Everest may submit an eligible massage therapy claim directly to your extended health insurer after your appointment. This can reduce the amount you pay at the clinic, but it does not mean your appointment is automatically covered in full.
At your appointment, please bring your extended health benefits card or plan details; your policy or certificate number, if applicable; the name and date of birth of the primary plan holder if your coverage is through a spouse, parent, or partner; and a second benefits card if you have coordinated coverage.
Your RMT appointment must be eligible under your plan. If there is a remaining balance, an annual maximum has been reached, a deductible applies, or your insurer does not approve the claim, you are responsible for the unpaid amount.
Direct Billing for Registered Massage Therapy
Everest Therapeutics provides massage therapy with Registered Massage Therapists in British Columbia. Many extended health plans include coverage for RMT appointments, although plan rules differ.
Your insurer may consider whether your plan includes RMT coverage, your remaining annual coverage amount, any deductible or co-payment, whether a physician referral is required, practitioner eligibility, covered appointment types and durations, and whether your coverage is primary or secondary.
We recommend reviewing your benefits before your first appointment. If you are unsure, contact your insurer directly and ask whether your plan covers treatment with a Registered Massage Therapist in British Columbia.
What You May Pay at Your Appointment
Direct billing can make payment more convenient, but it does not eliminate the need to understand your coverage. Depending on your benefits plan, you may need to pay the full appointment amount, a co-payment or deductible, any amount above your remaining annual coverage, or the balance not approved by your insurer. If direct billing is unavailable for your plan, you may pay in full and submit the receipt yourself.
Everest will provide the documentation you need for eligible reimbursement when you must submit a claim personally. See our Pricing and Direct Billing Details page for current rates.

Before Your Appointment
Please arrive with your insurance information available and let the front desk know if your benefits are under another person’s plan.
Tell your RMT about relevant health history, medications, recent injuries, surgery, pregnancy, new or worsening symptoms, or any medical guidance you have received. Your RMT will discuss whether massage therapy is appropriate and adapt treatment when needed.
Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical assessment. Seek appropriate medical care for severe, worsening, unusual, or concerning symptoms.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you direct bill for massage therapy?
Everest may direct bill eligible Registered Massage Therapy appointments to participating extended health insurers. Coverage depends on your specific plan, remaining benefits, and insurer approval.
Is direct billing guaranteed?
No. Your insurer determines whether a claim is approved and how much it will pay. You are responsible for any amount not covered by your plan.
Do I need a doctor’s referral for RMT massage therapy?
Many plans do not require a referral, but some do. Check directly with your insurer before your appointment.
Can you direct bill through my spouse or partner’s benefits plan?
Possibly. Bring the primary plan holder’s information, your benefits card, and any plan details required by the insurer. Coordination of benefits may be available depending on your plans.
What if my plan does not support direct billing?
You may pay for the appointment and submit the official receipt to your insurer for reimbursement, where eligible.
How much massage coverage do I have?
Everest cannot determine your exact coverage or remaining annual limit. Contact your insurer for confirmation before booking.
Can I use direct billing for Deep Tissue, Sports, or Pregnancy Massage?
Coverage is generally based on whether the appointment is provided by a Registered Massage Therapist and eligible under your plan, rather than the marketing name of the treatment. Confirm your benefits with your insurer.
How do I set up direct billing?
Once you have booked your first appointment, a digital intake form will be emailed to you to collect your insurance details, including your name, date of birth, policy and identification numbers, a photo or scan of your insurance card, and a credit card on file. If you are covered under a spouse or other household member’s plan, we also require that person’s full name and date of birth. If you’re unable to complete the form beforehand, please arrive 10–15 minutes early with your insurance information and photo ID so our reception team can assist you.
