    FAQs

    • What type of injuries and conditions do you treat?

At Everest Therapeutics, we treat all forms of soft tissue injury and pain. We focus on the various forms of sport related injuries, as well as headaches, whiplash and associated dysfunctions. We also cater to "Computer Back" syndromes, including jaw and low back pain. In fact, most upper body dysfunctions are a result of the upper body compensating for lower body lesions and imbalances.

    • What is your availability?

It is suggested and encouraged that you schedule an appointment a week or more in advance. At times there are same day bookings available. The therapists will often suggest booking a few appointments in advance to ensure a proper therapeutic response in the body. It may have taken years or decades for these problems to develop. It must be appreciated that your process of healing may require a series of treatment sessions. It is common to treat a condition for up to 6 sessions before critically assessing the results of the treatments.

    Available 7 days a week from 8:00am - 8:00pm

    • Do I need to get undressed for my treatment?

Direct skin contact is best and at times, we will need to apply oil or lotion. If you would like, you can wear a pair of sport shorts and top. However, it is possible to do a session with clothes on. Whatever will make you most comfortable is the policy at Everest.

    • Do you have a cancellation policy?

Our policy at Everest Therapeutics Inc. is that we ask for at least 24 hrs prior notice of a cancellation, otherwise you will be responsible for the full treatment fee. (See fee schedule.)

    • Does my extended healthcare cover your treatments?

The majority of extended health care plans cover registered massage therapy treatments. So the question then becomes how much coverage do you have? The answer to this is in your insurance policy.

The coverage amounts are located usually under headings titled, "Paramedical" or "Supplementary benefits." Policies typically have a percentage of coverage or up to a dollar amount (eg. 80% coverage up to a total of $500 per calendar year).

    • Do I need a doctors referral?

There is no requirement to have a referral to see a registered massage therapist. The only requirement might be by your extended health care plan. You need to check with your policy to see if you need one to be reimbursed for the treatments.

    • Do you accept MSP / ICBC / WCB referrals / Cases?

Yes, but because we are an opted out clinic, we bill our services at our clinic rate. It is then your responsibility to receive full/part payment back from your insurance company.

    • What is your fee schedule?

It varies depending on the time and RMT you see. Please call us for fees at 604-633-9593. At Everest Therapeutics, we currently accept Debit, Visa and Master Card.
