Shoko at this time does not have a permanent schedule. She is filling in (locum) when RMTs are away.
Shoko came to Canada in 1999 to study Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia. After completing her Bachelor degree she decided to further her education in Massage Therapy. She graduated as an RMT in 2006.
Shoko’s interest in exercise science and massage therapy springs from her love of sports, outdoor activities and athletics. She believes that the modalities work hand in hand to improve function and performance for people in rehabilitation or high performance sports.
She has been involved in many areas of fitness from teaching fitness classes to being a personal trainer for people of all ages, mobility and goals. She also taught a class at UBC called 'Changing Aging'. It was centered around teaching fitness to the elder population.
